Make amateur sports run itself.

That's the whole mission. Everything else is details.

Admins should admin.

Right now, running an amateur team is two jobs: the sport, and the administration of the sport. The second job is unpaid, unthanked, and endless — chasing replies, counting heads, re-posting the venue, mediating selection fights with no evidence.

Aatago exists to delete the second job. The schedule sends itself. The stragglers get nudged automatically. The XI suggests itself from who's available. The announcements get read. What's left is the part that actually matters: the game, the players, the cricket.

Three things we believe

Players never pay

Amateur sport runs on volunteers and goodwill. The people giving up their Saturdays shouldn't be paying for the privilege of being organized.

Clubs, not teams, are the customer

Pricing per team punishes the clubs that grow the sport. One flat subscription per club — whether you run one team or ten.

No ads on the free tier. No dark patterns. No selling anyone's data. If the app doesn't make Thursday night easier, it doesn't deserve to exist.

Where this goes

Today: the best-run cricket clubs in the world run on Aatago — starting in Edmonton. Tomorrow: every amateur team sport, everywhere, with the admin handled so quietly that admins forget it was ever a job.
